The only real reason that swine fly has not been mentioned in a while is because the summer has taken down the figures. It would seem that the summer months are over and with the winter settling in it could be time for the virus to come out.

So with winter on the way how are companies that offer things like luxury cruises going to be able to combat the virus if it hits one of their voyages?

Well the main thing they seem to be doing is cleaning every single part of the ship from top to bottom between each voyage. Of course they clean the ship anyway but now they seem to be spending a lot more time on everything and using more powerful cleaning products. Of course this is done to stop the risk of anyone else catching it.

If the worst thing happened and an outbreak was to happen then one of two things would actually happen. The infected are put into quarantine so that the rest of the ship is safe from getting the virus. They may actually stop people from leaving to go onto land if the outbreak gets really bad. Although this could potentially ruin your holiday it is very unlikely to happen and your money would more than likely be returned to you so do not worry if you are about to book one of those Oceania cruises

So when booking your river cruises, do not worry about swine flu as everything that can be done to stop it, is being done. Of course there are chances you can still catch the virus but it is often not the companies fault, you just need to make sure you sneeze into tissues and do all the sensible things to prevent giving it to someone if you think you have it.

Of course other means of travel such as air and train are also going through similar procedures so you do not need to worry about catching the virus when going away on holiday.

Slow Motion Belly Slap & Man Boobs

I first developed man boobs as a chubby fifteen year old. The embarassment they caused me resulted in my making a vow never to take my shirt off in public again.

That was more than 30 years ago and I’ve stuck to my vow, until recently. I never took my shirt off, even on the hottest summer days, and I’ve tended to prefer skiing holidays rather than strip off for the beach holidays.

I’ve missed out on so much due to the excess flab that I appear to have on my chest. I’ve tried all manner of diets and lots of exercise techniques but nothing has worked. But it was a skiing accident in Val D’Isere that brought about a huge change in my life.

Luckily it wasn’t a serious accident. I’d torn a ligament in my right knee and this put paid to my skiing holiday. I was so glad that I had some good ski insurance as I needed to be brought home straight away.

But while at the hospital I got chatting to one of the consultants who was an American. It turned out that he was a plastic surgeon currently on some form of secondment to the hospital where I was receiving treatment for my leg. He told me that the condition I have is well known and effects around 50%.

He recommended a consultant in London who I should see when I returned, which is exactly what I did. Within a month I was scheduled for surgery.

I underwent a 2 hour procedure to remove excess glandular material. I had to stay in hospital overnight but I was up and about the following day, keen to see the results of the operation.

The final difference is hard to believe. My man boobs are completely gone. My chest no longer looks like that of a page three glamour model. The operation has also resulted in a huge boost to my self confidence and I now have a new girlfriend and we are planning a holiday in the sun where I intend to stay shirtless for the whole two weeks.

**************************

I strongle recommend that, when travelling, you always make certain that you have some comprehensice travel insurance and if you have a pre-existing medical condition make certain that you get the right pre-existing medical insurance.
